This attractive model is based on the 1914 STUTZ, type 4E Roadster. It had a 4 cylinder, side valve engine, of 36.1 horsepower and the rear wheels were driven by a shaft. The 3 speed gearbox was mounted in the rear axle. The STUTZ was to become a symbol of style and performance in the U.S.A.

The Stutz Motor Company was a manufacturer of luxury cars. Production started in 1911 and continued until 1935. This model is the 1914 4E Roadster also called Stutz Bearcat. The car had an engine that delivered 36HP and with that it was one of the fastest series cars of that time.

The (Y8-3) 1914 Stutz Roadster was introduced in 1969. This model did not attract special attention in its time. Although its attractiveness was supposed to be enhanced by inauthentic metallic, its shade was indistinct.

Variations/Rarities: First colour was in a glossy dark red body and chassis with green seats and a smooth tan roof and these stayed fairly constant.
The color of the model has different shades, older models are usually darker. However, these are fluctuations in color quality and not recognized as variants.
The next variant was where the roof changed from smooth to textured and these are hard to find.
The next recolour was to a glossy blue body and chassis with white seats and grille and a black textured roof. Various models have been seen with the inevitable seats and grilles in various trial plastic colours such as red, blue and yellow.
The issue with a brass plated fuel tank is perhaps hard to find but there are no real rarities.
